Baking Bread with Ms. Belle’s Mom
After a classroom sensory experience with her students using play dough, Belinda Peister, Ms. Belle, thought a bread activity would be a special treat. She knew just the person to lead it, her mom, Jeannine Flory, who has a passion for bread baking. Jeannine has shared this love during her 30 years of volunteering with 4-H members.
The students in Ms. Belle’s class kneaded dough and made rolls in various shapes and sizes. And the best part? Afternoon snack was special since it was the bread they had made.
Ms. Belle’s mom didn’t leave the staff out of the fun as Jeannine left us the most delicious cinnamon rolls. Some serious carbo-loading happened around Children’s TLC that day and we can’t even use the Groundhog Run as an excuse (since it’s still months away).
Thanks to Mrs. Flory for sharing her time and gifts with us. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
